Music & Market is back at Polhamus Park with an eight-week run, and the Bluebird Bistro added a Sunday brunch that did not exist last summer. The town did not lose its centerpiece so much as spread the weight of the season across more days and more venues.

That is the thesis for anyone already living here. The rhythm to plan around is not a single big weekend anymore. It is a Thursday-through-Sunday drumbeat that starts in late May and runs through mid-August, with the mountain and the park doing more of the work the fireworks used to do.
