The Fraser Valley is known for its famous playgrounds among 4-season sports enthusiasts. sleigh rides, snowshoeing, tubing and dog sledding. But there’s also TONS to do – like fishing, camping, hiking and biking – in the warmer months! And don’t forget Adventure Quest – this 35-foot-high aerial adventure park lets guests tackle sky-high ninja-style obstacles on a self-guided course and guided rock climbing tours in nearby Arapaho National Forest. Fraser is located in southeastern Grand County at an elevation of 8,574 feet (2,613 m) above sea level. It is bordered to the south by the town of Winter Park and to the north by unincorporated Tabernash. U.S. Route 40 leads south and east across Berthoud Pass 71 miles to Denver, and northwest 15 miles to Granby, the largest town in Grand County. The Fraser River passes through the east side of town, flowing north toward the Colorado River.
